Cetus Guitars — 2025
Cetus Pro - The Lord of the Rings
Bench-built by Abigail
“This guitar has a special theme of The lord of the Rings reflected on head plate and finger board inlays, rosette, back strip inlay.”
Welcome to Mr.Guitars — a slowly assembled archive of instruments. Each guitar in this collection has a voice, a history, and a reason it ended up here. Read the stories, study the specs, and hear them play.
A rotating handful of instruments — the ones getting the most attention this season, whether by the player or the plane of the plane iron.

Mr.Guitars is a private collection kept in one room — an archive of instruments built by hand, in small ateliers from North America and Europe to bench-workshops in Japan and beyond, where a luthier might make only a handful of guitars in a year. Some already live here. Others are still taking shape on someone's bench. Each earns a page of its own: photographs, specifications, and the story of the person who chose the wood.
Beyond the collection itself, the Journal keeps a longer view: guitar shows worth crossing an ocean for, private concerts held in the salon, and notes on what has just arrived. The Builds section is where commissions live while they exist only as possibility — wood being chosen, sides bent to shape, tops thinned toward voice, strings finally raised in the back of a workshop half a world away.
An archive kept the way its instruments are built — patiently, one at a time, by hand.
