This is the second guitar Jeff made with Myrtle and his first with the Redwood top. That top is from first growth Redwood grown in the Santa Cruz area. That tree was extremely old (2-3 thousand years) and was found on the forest floor. It had been cut about 75 years ago but never removed from the forest.

The Myrtle wood came from Oregon. A friend of Jeff brought the wood to his shop in the 1990s.
