With a formal education in woodworking, fine art, and metallurgy - Matthew Rice is the designer behind the bold lines of each Casimi guitar.
Matthew also explores complex aesthetic themes through the use of precious metals such as gold and silver, alloys such as bronze, and more traditional materials such as mother of pearl and abalone. He regularly uses exotic figured woods such as Mahogany from The Tree, Hawaiian koa and painted maple.
Each rosette, backstrip and headstock inlay is made entirely by hand. Casimi Guitars use natural materials exclusively and do not use CNC technology at any point in the creation of their instruments.
