Italian Spruce / Cocobolo

A breathtaking piece of Cocobolo back and sides are simply stunning — deep, complex grain with incredible natural movement, framed beautifully by the ebony binding. The wood itself becomes the centerpiece of the instrument, with every angle revealing something different.

The details continue with Judson’s distinctive custom hybrid rosette, combining carefully selected wood and blue abalone purfling. It has a strong geometric character, yet remains remarkably balanced with the natural beauty of the Cocobolo.

The spalted maple headstock veneer, fading into black, is another signature touch. Combined with the black Honduran mahogany neck and burl appointments, it gives the guitar a distinctly modern identity without losing the warmth of traditional acoustic guitar making.

And perhaps most impressive is the level of inlay and purfling work throughout the instrument. Multi-layer wood and fiber purflings, abalone details, burl accents and carefully executed transitions show an incredible attention to proportion and craftsmanship.

Italian Spruce brings clarity, responsiveness and dynamic range, while the Cocobolo adds depth, harmonic complexity and authority.
